What Is Semaglutide?

Before Semaglutide was approved for long-term weight management, it was used to help control blood sugar in men and women with type 2 diabetes. Interestingly, physicians noticed that while it enhanced insulin production and helped lower blood sugar levels, it produced dramatic weight loss results.

Semaglutide is a once weekly injection belonging to a class of drugs called glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 agonists). GLP-1 agonists work by mimicking the action of a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1. It acts by slowing gastric emptying keeping you full longer, it sends messages to the brain so that you are full with much smaller portions, and it decreases appetite and unhealthy cravings.

Take the first step towards a healthier, happier you by incorporating Semaglutide into your weight loss journey. Reach out to us today to schedule a consultation and learn more about how it can transform your life!

How Our Program Works:

After booking a Telehealth/ video consultation, you will receive an email with all of the information on what is required before the appointment. We require certain bloodwork that is often included in annual physicals. All bloodwork must have been completed within the last year. If you do not have bloodwork, we will process them through LabCorp for $40. This lab fee would be the only additional cost that is not included in the price list.

Once cleared by our physician, our nurse will reach out to schedule a pick-up appointment where you would pick up one months’ worth of Semaglutide at a time. There will be plenty of time for teaching how to self-administer subcutaneous injections at home, and to answer any questions.
